PVC Casing Cutters
PVC Collar Cutters
|

The PVC Casing Cutters have been designed and manufactured by Brook
Engineering for the mining, drilling and mineral exploration industries.
They are manually operated and used
for cutting PVC bore casings from the inside with casing wall
thicknesses of up to 9mm and up to 1500mm below the top level of the
casing.
Typically the PVC Casing Cutters are used in the rehabilitation of
drilling sites where casings are protruding above the ground and need to
be cut below ground level and plugged.
Two types of PVC Casing Cutters are available, one with twin cutting wheels (TWC)
and the other with a single cutting wheel (SCW) and opposing rollers.
The PVC Casing Cutters are supplied with a depth stop plus handle guide and
carry case.
They are held in stock at Brook Engineering and distributed through
mining suppliers.

1. Twin Cutting Wheel PVC Casing Cutters (TCW)
|
|
1.6M TWIN CUTTING WHEEL CASING CUTTER (TCW)
This TCW type is available to internally cut the following casings:
Size 125 and 150 classes 9 and 12
(see brochure for actual detail dimensions of casings).
Casing sizes and classes are stated in accordance with AS/NZS 1477 PVC
Pipes & Fittings for Pressure Applications.
Handle length versions available are 1, 1.3 and 1.6 (adjustable) metres.

CUTTING HEAD |
|
Twin cutting wheel mechanism with opposed cutting wheels, guide plate and
enclosed cutter extension mechanisms. |
|
The TCW type has been developed recently
and is an improved version for heavier duty work where larger numbers of casings
are being cut on a regular basis. |
|
|
DEPTH STOP AND HANDLE GUIDE |
|
The depth stop plus handle guide assembly is used to set the cutting depth, and an interchangeable guide plate
to suit the casing size holds the cutter straight and central relative to the casing being cut. |
|
Two spare cutting wheels are located in the depth stop plus
handle guide, and tools required for the use of the casing cutter are stored
on top. |

ADJUSTABLE HANDLE |
|
The TCW type,
1.6 metre version, features a handle that is fully adjustable for position on the body of the cutter. |
|
This enables flexibility for a comfortable stance to be adopted by the operator. |

2. Single Cutting Wheel PVC Casing Cutters (SCW) |
|
1M SINGLE CUTTING WHEEL (SCW) CASING CUTTER
This SCW type is available in three sizes to internally cut
the following casing sizes:
Size 1, 100 and 125 classes 9 and 12.
Size 2, 125 and 150 classes 9 and 12.
Size 3, 125 and 150 classes 9 and 12
and Size 175 class 9 with an Extension fitted
(see brochure for actual detail dimensions of casings).
Casing sizes and classes are stated in accordance with AS/NZS 1477 PVC
Pipes & Fittings for Pressure Applications.
Handle length versions available are 1 and 1.6 metres.

applications involving smaller numbers of casings to be cut and is a lower
cost option. |
